The reason individuals fall into homelessness can be complex, but the way out of homelessness requires individuals to have access to income, housing resources, and supports.  Handy Help llc provides an array of services and supports to help individuals experiencing homelessness in our community achieve independence and stability with using housing first model and person-centered planning to obtain housing quickly, with the goal to achieve stable housing in order to address the other factors that led to homelessness in the first place.

Housing Stabilization Services (HSS)

 

We are aware of various challenges and barriers that keep people from finding and maintaining housing particularly individuals with disabilities.

Housing Stabilization Services is designed to help people with disabilities and seniors find and keep housing. The purpose of these services are to:

  • Support an individual’s transition into housing,
  • Increase long-term stability in housing in the community, and
  • Avoid future periods of homelessness or institutionalization

Housing Sustaining

You can complete a consultation with our community partners or you can learn more about this Minnesota Medical Assistance benefit.  If you have a Mental Health Case Manager or an Aging and Disability Case Manager (CADI, BI, DD, or EW), you can request your case manager to assist you in initiating the process.
